What’s it worth?

There are three types of sources you can find online for Mopar values: 1) sold for price, 2) selling/asking price, and 3) guide value.
- Barrett Jackson Auction Archive - Sold Prices - Hey, what’s it worth but what someone purchases it for? This is a factor some value guides use.
- Hemmings & CPI - Selling/Asking Prices - This is one of the factors some guides use.
- AutoTraderClassics.com - Selling/Asking Prices - This is one of the factors some guides use.
- The Gold Book - Value Guide
- Car Collector Market Review - Value Guide
- NadaGuides.com - Value Guide

After a quick search for 1970 Challengers, I easily found: 1) Sold in 2009 values ranging from $35,200 (small block, non-numbers matching) to $115,500 (non-numbers matching, custom, new HEMI engine), and 2) guide values and asking prices from $6,700 to $226,995 for R/T models in varying conditions.
If you are going to the All-Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, you will find many qualified people to give unofficial and official appraisals of the cars there. Many experts are there each year who can offer pricing on components of Mopars too. What is just the shell worth? How about that Dana axel, wheels, restored seats, HEMI engine, or chromed pieces? Want values on your unfinished project? Bring your hi-res pictures and just ask an expert.
Of course, if you ask a Mopar owner the price of anything he has worked on, the answer will always be “priceless”!
